Reading, Writing and Roller Coasters
The summer is over as evident by the backpacks, plaid skirts and polos wandering my neighborhood this week. It doesn’t seem possible yet I’m feeling the familiar itch to sharpen my pencils.
I remember returning to school in the fall to classmates recapping their summers, typically prompted by a teacher asking us to share a highlight or two. My main event this year is easy. My Nieces, Bobbi and Madison and my sweet Sister-in-law Mindie paid a visit from South Dakota for a week in July. If I could have dreamt up the happiest week ever, this would have been it. The four of us spent six days riding roller coasters, sea shell safari’ing, sipping shirley temples, attending the thee-a-tah, mani pedi pampering and more. We laughed, ate, and played our faces off.
