The Wisch List began in 2010 as a passion project, inspired by my love of food and my evolution as a photographer. In its largest part The Wisch List is a food blog. That said, it lives also as a travel journal, lifestyle site and personal memoir. With me here is my husband and much better half, Aaron who serves as equal parts creative director, editor, test-kitchen quarterback and life coach.
When it comes to food I believe that the most delicious of meals are fueled by inspiration and love. Love of the ingredients, the process and the people I get to share it with. Phantom ingredients, of sorts, that charge the entire experience of food and enable a beautiful photograph, I think.
When it comes to the types of dishes you’ll find here they span a broad continuum, a direct reflection of our diet. We’re mainly plant-based. That said, you will find recipes for bright salads as well as bold bolognese, some vegan and gluten free dishes, a juice recipe or two…and also, bacon.
I find the most authentic joy in preparing, sharing and photographing food. I hope that a bit of that inspires you as well. And if one of my dishes find its way into your home, well, nothing could make a girl happier.
