They call this a whirlwind. One of those moments in life when everything shifts at lightening speed and all at once. I’m coming to you from Denver, via Mount Shasta California, Crater Lake, Bend Oregon and Seattle. Our new home.
Two weeks ago we put our belongings in storage, loaded up our cars and moved North. We quidkly found a place to live and just as quickly hit the road for a ten-day business trip in Colorado for Aaron’s new job. I had big plans to be cooking and blogging my way through this transition but I seriously underestimated the logistical challenges in moving from kitchen to kitchen and not having my own space or things. So, I’ll get back to food as soon as we are somewhat stationary. In the meantime, we’ve driven through some incredibly beautiful spots and our new neighborhood in Seattle is pretty magical, too. At the moment, I couldn’t be happier to be in Colorado while the leaves are changing.
Here are a few highlights.
[Mt. Shasta, CA]
[Crater Lake, OR]
[Snoqualmie Falls, WA]
[Seattle, the road and hiking trails behind our house]
[Lake Washington, a block from our front door]
[Just above Breckenridge, CO]
