‘Twas the day before Thanksgiving and all through the land, hosts and houseguests everywhere totally had their food prep ducks in a row, right? Ducks, schmucks, I say. Some of my best Thanksgivings were disasters. Like the time I was roasting walnuts the night before a Thanksgiving that I was hosting. I stepped out of the kitchen for a matter of seconds and just like that, Thanksgiving and a bit of kitchen, up in flames. No turkey, no stuffing (with roasted walnuts), no dessert. The next day, everyone showed up, we ate what we could and laughed our way through a really fun day.
